Junior Coaching

The BSAWA Junior Coaching Program aims to provide a pathway for juniors from beginners to the elite level and into the senior ranks. The coaching is directed towards players who wish to advance in the game, but also caters for those who just wish to play for enjoyment.

The Australian Junior Championships for Billiards & Snooker will be held a week prior to the Junior 8 Ball Championships in Adelaide in January 2018 – this gives players the opportunity to compete in both events without the cost of two airfares. More information about the Australian Championships can be found on the following page. The School Holiday Coaching Program is aimed at identifying players interested in competing in the national championships, and giving those new to the game a grounding in the rules and tactics of play.

Sessions will be held from 10am at the Pot Black Family Pool & Snooker Centre, 464 Fitzgerald St North Perth on the following dates:

Tuesday 26th September

Friday 29th September

Sunday 1st October

Wednesday 4th October

Two hours of structured coaching will be provided, and the players will be welcome to free play for an additional hour until 1pm. All sessions are conducted under the supervision of accredited coaches, with assistance from other volunteers.

The cost of each coaching session is $10 per player.

Players attending at least three sessions will also receive a free entry to the “Champions League” event at North Perth on Sunday 8th October – this is an open age knockout event with handicaps. Other players are welcome to participate at the standard entry fee of $20.
