Try Carom For Free

8 Dec 2019

Ever tried playing Carom? It's like Billiards, but with NO POCKETS.

Did you know there is a Carom hall in Welshpool with 6 tables?

It's called The Billiard Place, and they are offering a special introduction to the game for BSAWA members with a FREE session – 14 December, 10am-12pm. You can learn the rules and some of common cue-ball paths for scoring, and then try it out for yourself. Even if you don't want to play but just want to see what it's all about, you are more than welcome to come along.

Check out 3 Cushion Carom on YouTube, or these short demonstrations from The Billiard Place - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tssPixxNgrA

Be warned, the balls are much bigger than Snooker balls, so you won't want to use your normal cue – bring along a 9 Ball cue if you have one, or use a rack cue at the venue.

The address is 5/45 Tomlinson Rd Welshpool, but access is via Welshpool Rd, just before the corner of Leach Hway.
